As we open our office we're committed to our patients' and our staffs' safety. We will be taking extra precautions as we see patients until otherwise advised. Below is a list of the additional steps we're taking to protect our community as we open the doors for regular operation:
- We have staggered appointment times to practice social distancing
- We have asked that the patient comes alone to their dental appointment
- Temperatures will be taken upon arrival to the office
- Each patient must fill out a wellness survey the night before a scheduled appointment via text
- We have amplified our universal precautions
- Bathrooms and common areas are sterilized each hour
- All staff members are filling out the wellness forms each day, and temps are taken each morning
We hope this latest letter finds you all well, healthy, and enjoying the beautiful weather! We received some wonderful news on Wednesday, April 22nd from Governor Ducey. He issued an Executive order indicating that dental offices may "resume elective, nonessential surgeries" starting Friday, May 1st. In essence, this opens our doors to provide the much-needed care all of our patients deserve, including hygiene maintenance, periodontal treatment, and general dentistry of all types. We can't wait to get back to work!
While we are excited to get started and see all of our patients again, we are well aware this virus is still present in our community. To help protect our patients and our team, we are taking special precautions to ensure we all stay safe. On the recommendation of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the American Dental Association (ADA), we have purchased and have an ample supply of the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). In addition, we are instituting added precautions to help reduce aerosolization during procedures.
We also will be sending out a health survey prior to appointments, this is a very short and concise questionnaire, which will only take about a minute to complete. This will ensure patients presenting for treatment are healthy. We will be taking temperatures upon check-in and staggering patient appointments to lessen traffic. As for our team, we will also be completing the this same questionnaire daily and having temperatures taken. The good news is, our entire team has been social distancing and staying healthy. They are excited to get back to seeing you!!
We will be reaching out via text, email, and/or phone call to confirm existing appointments and reschedule those which were postponed. While the Governor has lifted restrictions starting May 1st, we will be using that day for staff meetings and reviewing and amplifying infection control procedures. We will be open this week from 8-12 Monday-Friday and will resume regular business hours starting Monday, May 4th. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions. All of us at W & H Family Dentistry can't wait to see our extended family again!!
Have a great week!
